Today, I met with a number of Nigerian youths from across the country, led by former Special Adviser on Youth Matters at the APC Headquarters, Hon. Nasir Lawal, who decamped from the APC to the NDC to identify with the principles and ideology of our party.
I told them that I am impressed with the quality of Nigerian youths and that they have what it takes to offer leadership and service to our country, and to change the narrative of governance. I also informed them that we have already adopted affirmative action for women and an inclusive policy for youths within the party.
I directed that all of them be linked with their respective state chairmen so they can become part of the party structure at all levels, and also be free to contest for any offices for which they are qualified on the platform of the party.
Nigeria has hope in its available manpower, which remains the most important resource of any nation. I therefore expressed my confidence in the capacity of Nigerian youths to bring about positive change. The NDC is a party for all Nigerians, and I encouraged them to not only be part of it but also invite their friends and associates to join.

I also met with a number of women political leaders from different parts of the country who, having heard our message, came to identify with the NDC. They have been linked with their respective state chapters to ensure their full integration into the affairs of the party.
Me In line with our affirmative policy, women must be actively involved in the leadership structure of the party. Today, I even introduced a female party chairman, and we will continue to see more of such inclusivity. I welcomed them and urged them to mobilise massively in support of the NDC vision for change.
Together, we will build a truly inclusive political movement and a better Nigeria for all.

As political momentum gradually builds toward 2027, attention in Delta North Senatorial District is once again turning to familiar and formidable names: Victor Ochei, Ned Nwoko, and Ifeanyi Okowa. Each man brings a distinct résumé, a different political temperament, and a unique claim to experience as the Anioma zone weighs its next representative at the federal level. Delta North, one of three senatorial districts in Delta State, occupies a strategic space within the politics of Nigeria. The district has historically produced influential lawmakers, and its Senate seat carries weight not only in constituency development but also in shaping debates at the National Assembly. With that backdrop, the emerging contest is less about visibility and more about capacity, depth, and political direction.
