In a major development for Nigeria’s education sector, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has approved the full waiver of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) fees for the Nigerian Law School campus in Abuja, signaling a strong commitment to expanding legal training infrastructure.
The decision means the institution will receive its land title documents without paying the usual processing charges, with directives reportedly given for the papers to be completed within one week.
The announcement has been welcomed as a significant relief for the school and a boost for Nigeria’s legal education system.
Beyond the fee waiver, authorities also approved fresh development projects for the campus, including the construction of new student hostels, staff residential quarters, and a modern auditorium.
